A HUID record for every hallmarked piece you have ever sold.

Every HUID is tied to the piece, its weight, purity, assaying centre and the bill it was sold on. Send pieces for hallmarking, receive them back and find any HUID in a second.

What it does

Built around the way a jewellery counter works.

HUID on every piece

Six-character HUID stored with the piece, printed on the tag and on the bill.

Assaying centre batches

Send a batch for hallmarking and track every piece until it comes back.

Scan or search

Scan the tag or type the HUID to see the piece and its full history.

Linked to bills

Each sale records the HUID, so you can confirm any piece a customer brings back.

Register export

Export the register whenever you need it for your records or an inspection.

Duplicate check

A HUID can only belong to one piece. Duplicates are blocked at entry.

How it works

Four steps at the counter.

I

Prepare a batch

Select pieces to send. A dispatch list with weights is created.

II

Send to the centre

Pieces are marked as at the assaying centre and leave the counter stock.

III

Receive with HUID

Scan each piece back and record its HUID and grade.

IV

Sell and record

The HUID is printed on the bill and saved against the customer.

Margin notes
Grades

22K916, 18K750 and 14K585 are supported, along with the grades for silver articles.

Rejected pieces

Pieces that fail testing are recorded with the reason and returned to stock or the karigar.

Buy-back

When a customer returns a piece, the HUID shows the original bill instantly.

Questions

About Hallmark Register

Does it support HUID?

Yes. HUID is part of every gold item record, on the tag, in the register and on the bill.

Can I add HUIDs for stock I already have?

Yes. Scan existing pieces and add their HUIDs during setup or anytime later.

Is the register kept after a piece is sold?

Yes. Sold pieces stay in the register with the bill number and date.

The final seal

Put today's rate on every tag before the first customer walks in.

Load your own stock, set your own making charges and bill real customers for fourteen days. If the numbers do not match your ledger to the milligram, you walk away.
